The practical bits
Which dreidels work best?
Either kind. Plastic ones are cheap and easy to rinse, so a whole table can paint at once; wooden ones spin a little longer and make a nice keepsake.
Ages
3‑6
Little hands can dip and spin; a grown-up can set out the paints and the bowl of water.
Time
Half an hour
A few minutes per color, plus a little time for the paper to dry.
What do we do with the paintings?
Let them dry flat, then hang them up or use them as a card or wrapping paper for a Hanukkah gift.
