This policy explains what information It’s Yom Tov collects when you visit itsyomtov.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate.
We do not sell your information. We do not run advertising on this site. We use analytics to understand which pages are useful, we send holiday emails if you ask us to, and we earn a commission when you buy through some of our links — at no extra cost to you.
We use Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to see how the site is used — which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are in the world, and what kind of device they use. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, and it is aggregated. We do not use it to identify you personally. Google’s own handling of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
You can opt out across all sites using Google’s browser add-on, or block cookies in your browser settings. The site works fine without them.
If you sign up for holiday ideas and updates, we collect the email address and any name you give us. We use it to send you It’s Yom Tov emails and nothing else. We do not sell or rent the list. Our email is handled by Kit, which stores the list on our behalf. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time.
If you write to us we keep the message so we can reply and, if it becomes relevant, refer back to it later.
The site is hosted by Webflow, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, as almost all web hosts do.
It’s Yom Tov is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you buy through them. This never costs you anything extra.
When you follow one of those links, Amazon may set its own cookies and will handle your visit under its own privacy policy, not ours. We do not receive your name, address, payment details or anything else about your order — only aggregate reporting on whether a purchase happened.
We also link to independent vendors. Once you leave our site you are subject to that company’s privacy practices, which we do not control.
Much of what we make is for families, but this site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
