What you need:

  • 10" plywood sheet
  • Vellum paper
  • Genuine or faux leather strap
  • Duct tape
  • Stick glue or spray adhesive
  • Gold paint or marker
  • Paintbrush
  • Al Hamichya text PDF
  • Shivas Haminim graphics PDF

Directions:

  1. Print out the Al Hamichya text on a sheet of vellum paper, at a scale of 70% (When you click print, select "More Settings: Scale: Custom" and input 70.)
  2. Print the images on another sheet of vellum
  3. Draw a gold "frame" around the edge of the plywood using the marker or paint
  4. Cut out the text and the images, leaving just a small border
  5. Glue the text to the center of the circle. Use a very small amount of glue, and pat the vellum paper down very gently to avoid smearing the ink.
  6. Glue the fruit pictures around the text. Put the wine and pastry pictures at the bottom near the appropriate bracha
  7. Let everything dry
  8. Use duct tape to securely attach a loop of leather strip to the back of the plaque
