Sukkah poster questions
How do you hang posters in a sukkah so they survive the week?
Attach at all four corners, not just the top two — a poster fixed only at the top becomes a sail the moment the wind gets behind it. On canvas or vinyl sukkah walls, use clips or cable ties through the grommets; on a wooden frame, tape at every corner and add a strip along the bottom edge.
Are laminated posters actually waterproof?
Laminated and vinyl posters shed water and will come through ordinary rain fine, which paper posters will not. Water still finds its way in through the edges if a poster is left soaking, so after a heavy storm it is worth lifting the corners to let them dry.
What should go on the sukkah walls?
The traditional choices are the Ushpizin, images of the Beit Hamikdash and Yerushalayim, and the brachos — all of which are here. Beyond that, most families build the collection up year by year, adding a poster or two each Sukkos until the walls are full and the children know exactly which is which.
Can sukkah posters be reused next year?
Yes, and laminate is what makes it possible. Take them down dry, roll rather than fold — a crease across a poster is permanent — and store the roll somewhere it will not be crushed. Most families get many years out of a good set.
